After a consultation has been finalised, you may sometimes still want to finish or add some details to clinical notes or discharge instructions.
You can still edit clinical notes and discharge instructions after the consultation has been finalised, but depending on the settings, you may be required to give a reason for editing them. There may also be a time limit for how long clinical notes can be edited without giving a reason. The reason is recorded in the editing log which you can open from the timestamp link under the clinical note or discharge instructions field (with single clinical notes) or on the clinical note row (with multiple clinical notes).
