Overview of Diagnostic Imaging

Provet Cloud PACS and Worklist

Using the Provet Cloud PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System), you can archive DICOM images created by your clinic's or hospital's imaging devices to the Provet Cloud PACS imaging service over the Internet. For viewing DICOM images, the Provet Cloud PACS solution includes the MedDream viewer which is a fully web-based DICOM image viewer with extended functionalities for viewing, downloading, and sending images. No installations on local computers are needed for the viewer. You can view DICOM images by using any internet-connected device with a modern web browser.

The Provet Cloud PACS can also be connected with third-party viewers such as Osirix and Horos. These third-party viewers may be required for high quality diagnostics work with certain modalities, such as CT and MRI.

The PACS works hand-in-hand with the diagnostic imaging worklist which is used for sending diagnostic imaging referrals from Provet Cloud to your diagnostic imaging devices. The referrals created in Provet Cloud can include patient information and information about how the imaging should be done, for example, which area of the animal should be studied. Using the worklist, you do not need to enter this information into your devices manually.

These features are an add-on functionality to Provet Cloud with extra monthly cost and set-up fees. The diagnostic imaging integration is set up by a Provet Cloud specialist with the help of the device provider. For more information about adding the features to your subscription, please contact your local Provet Cloud Sales representative or Provet Cloud Support.
