Managing departments requires administrator permissions.
You may sometimes want to archive a department, for example, if you no longer want to update data related to the department from the Pricing Tool. Note that the master department cannot be archived as it serves as the template for all other departments. Archiving a department only archives it in the Pricing Tool, not in Provet Cloud.
Departments are listed on the Settings > Departments page. You can filter the departments using the Active, Archived, or All filters and search the list using the text search field. The search field searches from the current filtered list.
To archive a department:
- Go to Settings > Departments.
- Select the All or Active filter.
- Find the department you want to archive and select the Archive button at the end of the department row.
- In the confirmation dialogue, select Archive.
To restore an archived department:
- Go to Settings > Departments.
- Select the All or Archived filter.
- Find the department and select the Restore button at the end of the department row.
- In the confirmation dialogue, select Restore.
