Add a Link to Manufacturer's Datasheet on Item Labels and Invoices

You can add a URL to a manufacturer's data sheet in the item settings and use a QR code placeholder on the medicine, food, or supply label template to add a scannable QR code to the label. For medicine items, a clickable link can also be added on the invoice. This feature works with dispensed items.

1. Add a URL in the item settings.

  1. Go to Catalog > Items and edit an item or create a new item .

  2. Add the URL link in the Manufacturer URL field.

2. Add the QR code placeholder in the item label template.

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations > Label printing.

  2. Under Label templates, edit the label template or create new a template.

  3. In the label Body, add the placeholder.

    • For medicine labels: [[medicine_url_qr_code]]

    • For food labels: [[food_url_qr_code]]

    • For supply labels: [[supply_url_qr_code]]

A scannable QR code will be included on the label:

3. Medicine items: Enable the print setting to add a link on invoices.

For medicine items, you can add a clickable URL link to a manufacturer's data sheet on the invoice:

  • Go to Settings > Print settings > Invoice tab and select the Print link with manufacturer data for dispensed medicines setting.

The URL will be shown as a link on the invoice.
