When you create a boarding reservation, two separate appointments are created - one for the check-in time and one for the check-out time. The check-in appointment is used for processing the patient's visit and handling the consultation activities and items. The check-out appointment for used for letting the front desk know that the patient is leaving.
-
Under Scheduled appointments, select Start linked appointment. A dialogue opens showing a link to the related boarding event.
-
Note that the check-out appointment cannot be processed before the patient has been checked in using the check-in appointment. The check-in button of the check-out appointment will be greyed out until the related check-in appointment has been updated to the checked in status.
-
-
Select whether you want to create a new consultation for check-out or link the check-out consultation to the check-in consultation. Typically, the Link to the existing consultation is used for check-out.
-
Select Check in.
