Bonus System Overview and Setup

The bonus system in Provet Cloud is a reward system that allows clients to accumulate points as they spend money in the clinic. Some clinics offer a reward system where clients can earn money back toward veterinary goods and services as they continue to spend money with their clinic. For example, if clients receive one stamp for every $100 they spend, once a client has accumulated 16 stamps, they can use those stamps to get $100 off their next invoice.

The bonus points are accrued based on a percentage of the invoice total sum. You can set the percentage and assign a monetary value to the points that clients can redeem in the bonus system settings.

Set Up the Bonus System

  1. Go to Settings > Department > Bonus and select the pen button to edit the settings.

  2. Select the Bonus system enabled checkbox. Two new fields appear.

  3. In the Bonus item field, add a procedure item that will be used to calculate the monetary value per point.

    • You can create the item used for the bonus system in Catalog > Items. Give it a descriptive name (and a print name if different from the item name), select an item list, and add the positive value of how much each point is worth as the Selling price. For example, if clients can redeem 16 bonus points for $100, each bonus point has a value of $6.25.

  4. In the Bonus percentage field, add a value that determines the rate at which points are accumulated. This percentage is applied to the invoice total sum and then converted to bonus points. For example, if the bonus percentage is 1% and an invoice total sum is $100, the client will receive one bonus point.

  5. Select Save.
