What is the Super Search?
The search bar at the top of your Provet Cloud screen is referred to as the “super search” bar, as it can search through various data sources and return a variety of results. Because it is a powerful search engine and can return so much information, there are filters and search terms you can use to better find the specific information you are looking for. These searches can be done from any screen in Provet Cloud, allowing users to access item and client/patient information quickly and efficiently without leaving the screen they were working on.
Instructions
You can use the search bar as you would any other search bar: typing in search terms and letting the system return results for you. Type in too little information and you can find yourself sifting through the information you don’t need or type in too much, and perhaps what you need is filtered out. The search bar now offers information more tailored to what you are looking for.
Parts of the search bar
White bar: type search string text in here.
A: Resets any filters that have been set. Search will now look through all areas for the entered search string.
B: Limits the search to clients that have the entered search string by using their name, email address, or phone number
C: Limits the search to patients that have the entered search string by using the name or Patient ID.
D: Limits the search to items that have the entered search string in their names.
E: Limits the search to item templates that have items with the entered search string either in the title name or inside the template.
F: Limits the search to discharge note templates that have the entered search string in the title.
Searching for pricing information
When needing to quote a price on an item quickly, perhaps while on the phone, you can search for the item in the search bar. This allows you to see the price of the item without having to open another screen and enter it in.
In this information returned to us, the BAYTRIL VET 100 mg/ml injection is returned with a price of €2.12, which is broken down to show the medicine price and another fee. To see details on the breakdown, there are two ways to do that:
Select the medication directly and see even more information or hover over the ‘i’ icon to see the information:
Searching for clients or patients
As above, enter in the name or even part of the name to bring up a selection of clients or patients. If you don’t choose any filters, then the system will search through all the data and bring back a selection of clients, patients, items, and templates that match the search string as seen in the image below:
The search engine looks for any string of letters that match what was entered, even if that string is located within the word (Hanna or Galactomannan for example). This is where limiting the search by using the filters comes in handy.
In the image below, we chose the Patients filter, and our return was limited to patients with the search string ‘anna’ in their name.
Searching for item templates
The enhanced super search returns also extend to item templates. With the search bar, you can find the item template that you need, open it, make changes, and give the information over the phone as to the cost. This offers a temporary estimate to reference and makes no permanent changes to the item template.
Here, we’ve searched for and selected “Batch test template” as our example:
By selecting the template here, we can change quantities and get a more accurate price to quote.
