Within Provet Cloud it is possible to add a patient reminder manually when a reminder was not automatically generated or you are transferring reminders into the patient's record.
1. Go to the patient reminder section
First, locate and access the desired patient's page. Next, access the "Reminders" section of the page. A screen example is shown below.
2. Create the reminder
Use the "+Add" button to open the create reminder prompt. An example screen is shown below. Client and patient information will automatically be generated and should be reviewed for accuracy. Client contact information, if available, will be displayed in the appropriate fields. If information is not available, the fields will remain blank. Please note, appropriate client contact information must be available pending selected default send method, or the reminder cannot be saved and completed.
3. Select the send method and template
Next select the default send method by which you wish the client to receive the reminder notification, and also the reminder template which will be the title of the reminder in the patient's page.
Reminder templates are predefined within your department's settings. Included within the reminder template can be the default message text. If predefined text is available, it will automatically generate for preview within the reminder text notes field. An example screen is shown below. You can also manually create the message being sent to the client within the reminder using the checkbox for "Don't use template and enter text manually".
4. Define the send time
You can define the due/expiry date of the reminder within the appropriate field either by entering the date manually or by using the quick select calendar icon prompt.
NOTE: You cannot enter a date that has expired/passed.
Then, enter the number of days before the due/expiry date that you wish for the client to receive the reminder.
NOTE: You cannot enter an amount that would not allow for the reminder to feasibly be sent to the client. For example: if the expiry date is set as tomorrow, however, send before is defined as 5 days, the reminder cannot be saved and completed as the send before logic is not possible. This will need to be resolved prior to being able to proceed with the creation.
Finally, if the reminder is needed to recur for a set amount of time and frequency, this can be defined using the "Recur reminder" and "Recurring times" fields. This can be used to ensure the client repeatedly receives a reminder until the action is completed, for example, an appointment is scheduled for the due service.
To save the reminder, click the green "Save" button.

Reminder templates are predefined and created by following the above steps. Use the "+Add" button to begin the creation process for a new reminder template. A screen example is shown below. Complete the title field first, which is the title that is displayed within a patient's page. Next, enter appropriate sending method text, and click "Save".
