Instructions
1. Locate the Appointment
To update a scheduled appointment’s status, first, locate the desired scheduled appointment. Scheduled appointments can be viewed either from the “Scheduled appointments” widget located on the dashboard homepage or from the “Appointments calendar”.
2. Mark as Arrived
To mark an appointment as arrived through the appointment calendar, first click on the desired appointment, which will prompt the appointment details screen, as shown below. Next, select the “Mark as arrived” button. An example screen is shown below.
3. Admission Dialogue
Once the appointment has been selected for arrival, the admission dialogue screen will prompt. An example screen is shown below. Here, you can confirm additional appointment details before indicating the appointment as arrived using the “Mark as arrived & go to dashboard” button, or use the “Start Consultation” button, to immediately mark the appointment as arrived and while also beginning the consultation.
If you have selected the appointment as arrived, you will be redirected back to the main dashboard. If you have selected start consultation, you will be redirected to the consultation page.
4. Recent Consultations
Whether the appointment is marked arrived or a consultation is immediately started, the appointment status will be updated accordingly and moved to the “Recent consultations” section on the dashboard homepage, as shown below.
To quickly access the patient’s consultation page and begin the process to update an arrived appointment to indicate the consultation has started, simply click on either the status button or the green stethoscope icon located at the end of the appointment row.
What are the options to customise the process?
Require Microchip Check
Settings> Department> Department Settings> Require microchip check on arrival/consultation
A department setting can be enabled which requires the presence of a microchip to be verified on arrival.
Hidden Fields on Consultation Admission
Settings > General > Department settings > Fields hidden in consultation admission
You can use this setting to hide “weight” and/or “consultation type” fields during the patient admission process.
Admitting a Patient to Another Department
Settings > General > Department > Consultation advanced settings > Allow admitting patient to another department
This setting will allow you the ability to select which department a consultation is admitted to.
Ward Requirement
Settings > General > Department > Consultation advanced settings > Require ward when admitting consultations
This setting will force a ward selection to be defined when admitting a consultation
