A patient’s primary ownership may change and thus require a patient’s account be transferred to a different owner.
To change a patient’s ownership, first, ensure the new owner has a client account created in your system. Then open the patient page of the patient requiring ownership change. Using the drop-down “Tools” button, select “Change owner.”
This will prompt the “Change owner” dialogue to open. See an example shown below. Within the blank search field, search for the new client/owner that the patient’s ownership will be transferred to and select “Save”. 100% ownership transfer will then be completed.
TIP: If a patient has had a change in ownership, details are provided in the client/patient signalment of the patient history indicating this has occurred, and as of what date.
