Logging in Using Two-Factor Authentication
Logging in If You Do Not Know Your Clinic's Provet Cloud Address
Introduction
Provet Cloud works entirely through a web browser, and your clinic has its own Provet Cloud web address with a unique ID. To login, you will need an email address and a password.
Logging in from Email Invitation
If you received an email invitation to join Provet Cloud:
- Click the link in the email. Provet Cloud asks you to set a password.
- Type and confirm a password and click Change my password.
- Type your email and password and click Log in.
Logging in with Credentials
If you received login credentials from your organisation:
- Go to your clinic’s Provet Cloud web address. The address is in the format www.provetcloud.com/XXXX, where XXXX is your organization's unique Provet ID. If you do not know your Provet Cloud address, contact your clinic administrator or go to the Provet Cloud general login page (https://login.provetcloud.com/).
- Type your email and password and click Log in.
Logging in Using Two-Factor Authentication
Your Provet Cloud administrator may enable two-factor authentication to increase account security. In this case, you need to log in to Provet Cloud in two steps once a month.
1. Log in to Provet Cloud.
Log into Provet Cloud normally, using your email address and password.
2. Enter the two-factor login code.
After a successful login, a 6-digit code is sent by text message (SMS) to the phone number saved in your Provet Cloud profile. Enter the code in the Code field.
If you do not have a phone number saved in your Provet Cloud profile, the system will ask for it.
- Enter your phone number into the Phone number field and click Send new code. A Code field appears in the login form and you will receive a text message with the code.
- Enter the 6-digit code from the text message.
3. Click Log in.
If you do not have your phone number listed in your Provet Cloud profile, a warning is shown when you log in. To add your phone number, click the drop-down arrow next to your user name and select User Profile, then add your phone number in your personal details.
Logging in If You Do Not Know Your Clinic's Provet Cloud Address
- Go to the general login page: https://login.provetcloud.com/.
- Type your email and select Send me a login link. You will receive an email with a link to your Provet Cloud.
- Select the link and log in using your email and password.
Quick Login / Switch Users
If your company uses a shared computer for different Provet Cloud users, you can log in and switch users quickly from the user profile menu.
Click the user name in the right-hand corner of the view and select Quick login / Switch user. Previous users are listed on login page. If your account is listed, simply type your password and select the login button (1). If your account is not listed, type your email and password in the fields below and select Log in (2).
Frequently Asked Questions
I didn't receive an email with a link to my clinic's Provet Cloud from the general login page
Make sure that the email you entered is the one you are registered to Provet Cloud with.
I didn't receive the SMS with the code for two-factor authentication
- Sometimes the text message takes a moment to arrive. Allow up to one minute for the text message to arrive.
- If the message still has not arrived, click Send new code to get a new code.
- If you receive multiple messages by mistake, enter the code from the last message.
- Check that your phone number is correct in your Provet Cloud profile details (click the drop-down arrow next to your user name and select User Profile). If you cannot access your personal details, contact your Provet Cloud administrator.
- The Provet Cloud account you are trying to access may not have enough SMS budget. Ask your Provet Cloud account administrator to check your account’s SMS budget from Settings > Subscription > Provet Cloud subscription.
The two-factor authentication code I entered doesn't work
- Make sure you typed the code correctly.
- Click Send new code to get a new code and try again.
