Veterinary clinics perform diagnostic testing for patients using internal laboratory equipment or external reference laboratories. Most clinics use a combination of both options.
Provet Cloud provides integrations to any lab devices you use in your clinic or hospital or devices you may consider purchasing. Different device families are connected to Provet Cloud using different integrations. To integrate all your devices, you may need one or more integrations.
When you use a Provet Cloud laboratory integration, you can automatically send laboratory referrals with patient information to in-house equipment or a reference laboratory that will receive the sample. In-house and reference laboratory tests are saved as laboratory items in Provet Cloud, and these items are used when creating a laboratory referral on a consultation. Using a two-way integration, the results are automatically uploaded to the Provet Cloud laboratory referral once the sample has been processed.
A laboratory analysis often represents one test or value within a panel. Depending on the integration, some tests are created in Provet Cloud as a laboratory analysis items and others as laboratory analysis panel items.
Laboratory integrations are add-ons to Provet Cloud. Contact our sales team for more information and advice on the best setup for your devices.

The IDEXX Vetlab Station (IVLS) is a laboratory information management system created by IDEXX. It is the central IDEXX computer that connects, manages and communicates with one or more IDEXX analysers, such as LaserCyte, ProCyte Dx, Catalyst Dx and LaserCyte Dx. It also connects to another Windows computer that hosts its integration software, the IDEXX InterLink. IDEXX InterLink is a program that is used to connect with various external parties, such as practice management systems like Provet Cloud.
IDEXX InterLink™ Cloud Plug-In (ICP) is a Windows application developed by the Provet Cloud team. It is installed into the same computer that hosts the InterLink program. ICP is used to integrate a Provet Cloud account with an IDEXX VetLab Station and any analysers connected to it.
ICP provides a two-way connection, meaning that you can send laboratory referrals containing patient and owner information and the requested analyses from Provet Cloud directly to the IVLS, and the completed results are automatically transferred from the IVLS to the consultation and the patient records in Provet Cloud.
This integration can be set up with the Lablink option described above, but it is also available separately with the Cloud Plug-In, allowing you to do the setup yourself with your local IT administrator. If you prefer, you can also order setup services from Provet Cloud. The integration can be set up so that the IVLS can receive requests from one or several Provet Cloud departments.
Using the scil vIP integration, you can connect laboratory results to the laboratory referral and upload the results to Provet Cloud. The results are attached to the original referral as well as included in the patient's history. Note that the connection is unidirectional and only sends results from your devices to Provet Cloud. See how to use the scil vIP integration.

Together with Zoetis, Provet Cloud has created an integration with the VetScan FUSE system. Using the integration, you can send laboratory referrals to selected VetScan devices and upload diagnostic results back to Provet Cloud. See how to use the VetScan FUSE Integration.
Using the IDEXX VetConnect PLUS external laboratory integration, you can create laboratory referrals that are sent directly to an IDEXX laboratory and have the test results automatically uploaded to the original referral as well as to the patient records in Provet Cloud.
The integration provides an automatically generated list of lab test codes and test pricing. When adding IDEXX specific laboratory tests on a consultation, the items show '(IDEXX VetConnect PLUS)' after the test name.
See how to set up and use the IDEXX VetConnect PLUS integration.
This integration is a Provet Cloud add-on. Contact our sales team for more information.
In the traditional Laboklin laboratory workflow, a paper referral sheet is used for ordering analyses. Using the Laboklin integration, users can browse Laboklin analyses and order them directly from the Provet Cloud consultation page. The sample itself is sent to the Laboklin laboratory as usual.
