The diagnostic imaging integration is set up by a Provet Cloud specialist with the help of the device provider, but you or your local Provet Cloud account administrator can modify some settings after the initial setup.
To edit these settings, go to Settings > General > Integrations > Diagnostic Imaging Settings.
-
Enable Diagnostic Imaging: When this setting is selected, the diagnostic imaging functions are available in your Provet Cloud.
-
Use enhanced diagnostic imaging workflow: When this setting is selected, the enhanced workflow for creating more specific referrals for target areas, organs, and directions is in use. See also the Require appointment for diagnostic imaging setting and additional enhanced diagnostic imaging settings.
-
Default procedure for projections: This setting is available when enhanced diagnostic imaging workflow is used (see the previous setting). The default procedure is added to the consultation when a projection is used. Projection-specific procedures defined in the projection settings override this setting.
-
Resources: When a resource added here is selected for a new appointment, the incoming appointment is shown on the diagnostic imaging tab of the main dashboard. You can create the required resources in Settings > Department > Resources.
-
Visible text fields on diagnostic imaging dashboard: You can select the fields that are available on the diagnostic imaging referral page.
To edit these settings, go to Settings > General > Integrations > Diagnostic Imaging Settings > Imaging modality management.
To add a new modality, select Add. To edit a modality, select the pen button on the modality row.
Linked Procedures and Resources
You can link the modality to a procedure, so that when a user creates a diagnostic imaging referral for a consultation and selects this modality, the procedure is automatically added to the consultation.
You can also link resources, so that when a resource added here is selected for a new appointment, this modality is automatically added to the diagnostic imaging referral.
Default Status
Select the status that is set by default for the modality in a new diagnostic imaging referral.
Target Area / Organ / Direction
If you do not use the enhanced workflow, the option for setting the target area, organ, or direction is available. If you use the enhanced workflow, they are set separately.
Add a custom name and an optional code for the target area, organ, or direction. You can also link a procedure, so that when a user creates a diagnostic imaging referral for a consultation and selects this target area, organ, or direction, the procedure is automatically added to the consultation. To add additional target areas, organs, or directions, select the Target Area / Organ / Direction button.
The device receives the target area, organ, or direction name, and the information can be helpful for users when doing diagnostic imaging. If you do not need the information, create just one general area/organ/direction as this setting is required for using the worklist functions.
To edit these settings, go to Settings > General > Integrations > Diagnostic Imaging Settings >Projection management.
To add a projection, select Add. To edit a projection, select the pen button on the projection row.
-
Adding a Procedure allows for setting an individual price for the projection. The linked procedure is automatically added to the consultation when a user adds the projection to a diagnostic imaging referral.
-
Using the Anterior/Posterior and Left/Right options creates multiple projections with different combinations of these two selections.
To edit these settings, go to Settings > General > Integrations > Diagnostic Imaging Settings > Imaging category management.
To add a category, select Add. To edit a category, select the pen button on the category row.
-
Add a name for the category and select a modality.
-
Optionally, you can also add projections directly to the category. Projections added directly to the category can be added to a diagnostic imaging referral without being part of a package (subcategory).
To edit these settings, go to Settings > General > Integrations > Diagnostic Imaging Settings > Imaging subcategory management.
To add a subcategory, select Add. To edit a subcategory, select the pen button on the subcategory row.
-
Add a name for the subcategory, select the Category that this subcategory belongs to, and add the Projections you want to include in the subcategory.
-
You can create packages to allow users to select the included projections for the selected modality in one go when creating the diagnostic imaging referral. The price is determined by the procedures linked to the individual projections. The linked procedures are automatically added to the consultation.
-
Is package: When this option is used, users can select the projections from the subcategory as a package to a diagnostic imaging referral.
-
Is fixed: When this option is used, the whole package must be included. If this option is not selected, users can add the whole package or select individual projections from the package. The price is determined by the procedures linked to the individual projections.
-
Use package price: Packages can use a custom package price instead of the sum of procedures from the selected projections. Select the procedure(s) that are added to the consultation when a user selects this package for a diagnostic imaging referral. You can add a Fixed price for the package or leave the field empty, in which case the procedures' price determines the package price. Note that if you use a fixed price, you can can only select one procedure.
-
-
Create tasks when results are ready: When this setting is selected, a task is created automatically for the selected users when diagnostic imaging results are ready. You can select the consultation supervising veterinarian, consultation resident, referral supervising veterinarian, or add selected users from your organisation as the task recipient. In Task due date, add how many days after the results the task is due.
-
Require appointment for diagnostic imaging: When this setting is selected, it is not possible to create a diagnostic imaging referral without booking an appointment and selecting a modality or when a consultation has been started without an appointment. When this setting is not selected, it is possible to create a draft or 'planned' diagnostic imaging referral for a patient without an appointment or an active consultation.
-
Require referral remark for diagnostic imaging: This setting is available when Require appointment for diagnostic imaging is selected. When this setting is selected, a referral remark must be filled in for a diagnostic imaging referral.
-
Require template for referral remark: When this setting is selected, a referral remark template must be used for a referral remark.
-
Require report filled before marking diagnostic imaging referral as complete: When this setting is selected, a report must be filled in on the diagnostic imaging referral before it can be marked as completed.
-
Enable changing referral status during diagnostic imaging: When this setting is selected, it is possible to change the status of the diagnostic imaging modality on the consultation page. If this setting is not selected, the status can only be changed on the diagnostic imaging referral page.
-
Enable responsible radiologist: When this setting is selected, it is possible to add a responsible radiologist to a diagnostic imaging referral on the diagnostic imaging page or tab on the dashboard.
-
Use diagnostic imaging referral date for invoice rows: When this setting is selected, the linked procedure items show the diagnostic imaging referral date on the invoice. If this setting is not selected, the consultation date is shown.
-
Allow creating draft imaging referrals: When this setting is selected, it is possible to create a planned diagnostic imaging referral without an active consultation. Note that Require appointment for diagnostic imaging must be disabled.

NB. Its first after you create a diagnostic imaging referral from Provet that the WL BB actually opens up for traffic. If you set up the WL in Provet, and then test the connection from a modality it WILL fail unless you create a diagnostic imaging referral.
