Introduction

Diagnostic imaging worklist is a feature of Provet Cloud that allows diagnostic imaging referrals to be sent from Provet Cloud to various diagnostic imaging devices in your clinic that support it. The referrals can include patient info and info about how the imaging should be done (for example, what area of the animal should be studied). This takes away the need to enter patient info into the devices manually, speeds up the workflow and reduces human errors.

The worklist feature works hand-in-hand with the Provet Cloud PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) feature set that allows viewing and sending diagnostic images, created by the imaging devices you may have in your clinic or hospital.

If you don't have those features in your subscription yet but are interested, please contact your local Provet Cloud Sales representative or Provet Cloud Support. The features are add-ons with extra recurring cost and set-up fees.

Creating a Diagnostic Imaging Referral

You can create diagnostic imaging referrals from the consultation page, under the 'Diagnostics' section, 'Diagnostic imaging' subsection. Select the blue plus button to add a referral. A dialogue opens, allowing you to define the referral in more detail.

Select the device you want to send the referral to, and then select the target area (part of the animal that is to be imaged). You can also add more target areas using the blue plus button and also add request remarks for the diagnostic imaging team in your clinic or hospital.

Select 'Save' to create and send the referral to the worklist. At that point, the referral should arrive at the diagnostic imaging workstation or the diagnostic imaging device, allowing the team to continue with the actual imaging process. Images are usually automatically archived from diagnostic imaging devices.

Following a Referral

After saving, you can also see the referral under the 'Diagnostic imaging' subsection.

From the section, you can follow the referral's progress, edit its details using the blue pen icon, print the referral, or use the white button with rows to go to the referral page that has some more options and details.

Once the imaging is complete and the images archived, you can also see the results from the built-in viewer using the blue 'Show images of' button. You can also send images via email using the other blue button.

From the Provet Cloud dashboard, you can also find a 'Diagnostic Imaging' dashboard tab. This allows staff to follow all ongoing and completed referrals, search for referrals and view related consultations, patients, and clients.
