Use a Cubex Cabinet Item on a Consultation

With the Cubex cabinet integration, items can be added as Cubex items in your Provet Cloud and connected to your Cubex cabinet system.

  1. In the Treatment items section on a consultation page, find and add the cabinet item.
  2. Add the quantity (units or packages) that you want to remove from the Cubex cabinet, the batch number (if applicable), and save. The item shows up in the 'Planned' section for the item type in question (for example, 'Planned medicines') and is sent over as a request to the Cubex cabinet.
  3. Go to your Cubex cabinet and log in.
  4. Find and select the patient and select Next.
  5. Select the item and select Issue item(s) to open the cabinet drawer.
  6. Remove the item from the compartment.
  7. Enter the quantity taken and select Next.
  8. Continue to the next item (if applicable) or complete the item retrieval.

Provet Cloud receives information that the item has been removed from the cabinet. The status of the planned item is automatically updated, and the item moves from the planned items to the main item section. If the item status does not update, see Match an Orphan Cubex Item to a Consultation.


If you have problems with your Cubex cabinet integration

  • Contact Provet Could support: If client, patient, or item details are not updated correctly to the MyCubex software from Provet Cloud. For example, when a Cubex item is added on a consultation, or client, patient, or item details are updated in Provet Cloud, and these changes are not updated in MyCubex. 
  • Contact Cubex support: If you have any issues with the MyCubex software or Cubex cabinets, for example, if information is not updated correctly from MyCubex to the cabinet or vice versa.
