Command Menu and Keyboard Shortcuts

Introduction

A command menu and keyboard shortcuts are available for some common functions in Provet Cloud. The command menu lists the shortcuts that can be used on the currently open page.

Opening the Command Menu

You can open the command menu on any page in Provet Cloud. Note that the command menu cannot be opened if a dialogue is open on a page.

  • On Windows and Linux, press Ctrl+K.
  • On Mac, press Cmd+K.

You can type in the search field to limit the list or find a specific function (1).

The menu shows the keyboard shortcuts for the functions (2), but you can also click and select a function in the menu or navigate using the keyboard arrow keys and select by pressing Enter. To close the command menu, press Esc or click outside the command menu.

Available Functions and Keyboard Shortcuts

On most pages, the available shortcuts include opening the dashboard, creating a new client, creating a new appointment, creating a new counter sale, and opening the quick login / switch user page. In addition, a shortcut for creating a new patient is available on client and patient pages and a shortcut for saving the data in dialogues that have a save function.

Keyboard Shortcut (Win / Mac) Function
Alt+D / Option+D Go to Dashboard (to the tab selected in the user preferences).
Alt+A / Option+A

Go to the appointment calendar.

When using the shortcut on the client and patient page, the client and patient (if selected) are automatically added when you start creating a new appointment.
Alt+I / Option+I

Create a new counter sale.

When using the shortcut on the client and patient page, the client and patient (if selected) are automatically added to the new counter sale.
Alt+U / Option+U Go to the Quick login / Switch user page.
Alt+C / Option+C Create a new client.
Alt+P / Option+P Create a new patient. Only available on client and patient profile pages.
Alt+S / Option+S Saves the data in a dialogue with a save function (for example, when creating a new appointment).
