Medicine, food and supply labels are mainly used for printing instructions for dispensed items. You can print these labels from a consultation page when adding or editing an item (including planned medicines), from a consultation invoice page when the item's usage type is 'dispensed', or from a counter sale page when a patient has been selected for the item.
In the item dialogue, select the label printer you want to use from the Print label drop-down list and add the number of labels you want to print in the Label quantity field.
When one-click printing is in use in your Provet Cloud, you can select Save (with a checkmark icon) to save the item and print the label(s) with one click.
When one-click printing is not in use, you can select Save (without a checkmark icon) to save the item and preview the label(s). <<Save and preview?>>
When adding a new item, you can also select Save and print label to go directly to editing and printing the label(s). To edit and print the label(s) of a saved item, open the item for editing and select Save and print label.
-
In the label printing dialogue, the Device and Amount of labels fields show the selections you made when adding the item. You can still change the selections.
-
If the item type has a label template, the Header, Body, and Footer fields show the template text. You can edit the text in these fields. The label preview on the right updates as you make changes.
-
If you want to preview the label(s) as a PDF, select the Preview as PDF button. To print the label(s), select Print.
You can print a label from a consultation invoice page if the item's usage type is 'dispensed'.
Select the Print label button next to the item name on the item row to edit and print the label(s).
<<When adding an item on a counter sale page, you can print (if one-click printing is in use) or save and preview labels in the item dialogue in the same way as on a consultation page.>>
If one-click printing is not in use or you have saved an item without printing the label(s):
-
Select the printer button at the end of the saved item row. A dialogue opens.
-
You can add additional instructions to the label in the dialogue, but note that they are only shown on the label if the label template contains a placeholder for instructions. Select Save whether you add instructions or not.
Client and patient labels are useful for compactly printing client and patient information. You can print these labels from a client or patient page, consultation page, or during patient admission.
Select Tools > Print client label or Print patient label to edit and print the label(s).
If you need multiple identical labels, you can use a regular A4 printer with a special A4 sticker sheet to print the labels in one go. You can print A4 label sheets from a client or patient page, consultation page, or during patient admission:
-
Select Tools > Print A4 label sheet. A dialogue opens.
-
Type the label content in the fields. Six fields are available, and each field corresponds to a new line on the label. Note that it is not possible to create a template for A4 label sheet labels.
-
Select Print.
Laboratory labels are useful for printing information related to a laboratory referral. You can print these labels when creating or printing a laboratory referral on a consultation page or from a laboratory referral page.
When adding a laboratory referral, you can print (if one-click printing is in use) or save and preview labels in the referral dialogue in the same way as when adding medicine, food, or supply items.
If one-click printing is not in use or you have saved a referral without printing the label(s):
-
Select the printer button at the end of the laboratory referral row. A dialogue opens.
-
Select the Print laboratory label button in the bottom right-hand corner of the dialogue.
-
Open the laboratory referral from the consultation page it was added on or from the laboratory dashboard by selecting the laboratory referral button at the end of the referral row.
-
Select the Print laboratory label button in the top right-hand side corner of the referral page.
Laboratory sample labels are a special type of small labels that are used for labelling laboratory sample containers. In addition, barcode labels can be printed for samples. You can print laboratory sample labels and sample barcode labels if they are enabled in the settings.
When adding laboratory referral samples, you can print (if one-click printing is in use) or save and preview labels in the sample dialogue in the same way as when adding medicine, food, or supply items.
Depending on your Provet Cloud settings, a dialogue for adding laboratory referral samples may open automatically when you save a laboratory referral on a consultation page. You can also add laboratory sample labels on laboratory referral pages in the Samples section (select the pen button next to the section title).
If one-click printing is not in use or you have saved a referral without printing the label(s), you can print the labels from the laboratory referral page.
On laboratory referral pages, you can print the labels for an individual sample or for all samples in one go. You can also print sample barcode labels if barcode printing is enabled in the settings.
In the Samples section, select the printer button at the end of the sample row to edit and print the label(s) for the sample.
Select the Samplelabels button in the top right-hand corner of the Samples section to edit and print the label(s) for all samples. Note that you can only edit the label of the first sample.
If one-click printing is in use in your Provet Cloud, you may be able to enable it for yourself, depending on the setup. In this case, you can do it on your profile page:
-
Open your user profile in Provet Cloud and find the Direct printing section.
-
To open the section for editing, select the pen button next to the section title.
